Your adventure begins in Srinagar, where you relax by Dal Lake before hitting the legendary Srinagar-Leh Highway. You will cross the formidable Zoji La Pass to reach Kargil, paying homage at the Drass War Memorial. Continuing deeper into the Himalayas via Lamayuru and Magnetic Hill, you will arrive in the high-altitude desert city of Leh.
After a day of acclimatization in Leh, the expedition peaks as you conquer Khardung La (one of the world's highest motorable passes) to reach the double-humped camel dunes of Nubra Valley. Explore the remote village of Turtuk near the LoC, before traveling alongside the Shyok River to camp by the mesmerizing, color-changing waters of Pangong Tso. Return to Leh via Chang La for departure. With experienced high-altitude drivers and oxygen-equipped vehicles, your safety is 100% guaranteed.

Day-wise Itinerary
Welcome to kashmir! Upon your arrival at Srinagar Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel or houseboat. Settle in and acclimatize to the weather. In the late afternoon, enjoy a peaceful and romantic 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, soaking in the beautiful views of the Zabarwan mountain range as the sun sets. The grand road trip begins! After an early breakfast, we embark on the legendary Srinagar-Leh highway. We will drive through the golden meadows of Sonamarg before ascending the challenging Zoji La Pass (3,528m). Entering the Ladakh region, we stop at Drass, the second coldest inhabited place on earth, to pay our respects at the Kargil War Memorial. Continue driving to Kargil. Dinner and overnight stay in Kargil.

After breakfast, continue the drive towards Leh. Today's journey is packed with geographical wonders. We will visit the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, known for its unique "Moonland" landscapes. Witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers (Sangam), experience the anti-gravity phenomenon at Magnetic Hill, and seek blessings at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Arrive in Leh by evening and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Since you have climbed to an altitude of 3,500m, today is reserved for rest and acclimatization to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). In the afternoon, we will do a light local tour of Leh. Visit the historic Leh Palace, explore the Hall of Fame (a museum maintained by the Indian Army), and catch a stunning panoramic sunset from Shanti Stupa. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, gear up for an exciting drive to Nubra Valley. We will cross Khardung La Pass (5,359m), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Stop briefly for a photo at the top. Descend into the beautiful Nubra Valley and visit the Diskit Monastery. Later, visit the Hunder sand dunes where you can enjoy a ride on the rare double-humped Bactrian Camels. Check into your camp/hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Today, we embark on an incredibly scenic drive to Turtuk, the northernmost village of India, located just a few kilometers from the Line of Control (LoC). Opened to tourists recently, Turtuk offers a glimpse into Balti culture, distinct architecture, and lush apricot orchards against the stark Karakoram mountains. After exploring the village and interacting with locals, drive back to Hunder. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, we will drive directly from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso via the adventurous and rocky Shyok River route, saving time and offering stunning raw landscapes. Arrive at Pangong Lake (4,250m), famous for its ever-changing shades of blue and famously featured in the movie "3 Idiots". Spend the evening mesmerizing over the lake's beauty. Check into your campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, we begin our drive back to Leh. We will cross the mighty Chang La Pass (5,360m). En route, you can visit the Thiksey Monastery and the Shey Palace. Arrive in Leh by afternoon, check into your hotel, and rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
After a grueling but rewarding road trip, today is a free day for you to relax. Wake up late, enjoy a hearty breakfast. You can spend the day exploring Leh's vibrant local markets. Shop for authentic Tibetan handicrafts, Pashmina, and silver jewelry. Try out local cafes and enjoy the Ladakhi culture. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Your grand Trans-Himalayan adventure comes to an end today. After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Our driver will transfer you to the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh for your onward flight back home, carrying a lifetime of thrilling memories.

AMS occurs due to low oxygen levels at high altitudes. The best way to prevent it is by acclimatizing properly. That is why our itinerary includes a full rest day in Leh. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and consult your doctor for preventative medications like Diamox before the trip. Our vehicles carry emergency oxygen for immediate relief.
The Srinagar-Leh highway (Zoji La Pass) is usually open from mid-May to early November. Therefore, the best time to undertake this road trip is between June and September.
Due to the tough terrain, we strictly use high-ground-clearance SUVs such as Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, or Mahindra Scorpio, driven by highly experienced local mountain drivers.

Yes, we book premium Swiss tents with attached western washrooms. However, please note that electricity at Pangong is usually restricted to specific evening hours via generators, and it gets extremely cold at night.
