Frequently Asked Questions

While South Kerala (Munnar/Alleppey) is beautiful, it is highly commercialized. North Kerala (Malabar) offers raw, untouched nature, prehistoric caves in Wayanad, unique drive-in beaches in Kannur, and a distinct, rich culinary culture. It's perfect for travelers looking to avoid large tourist crowds.

The trek to Edakkal Caves requires a moderate level of physical fitness. It involves a steep walk uphill for about 1 km, followed by a climb up some steep metal stairs to reach the main cave. It might be challenging for elderly travelers with knee issues.

Theyyam is a seasonal ritual art form native to North Kerala, primarily happening between late October and April. It is performed in local village temples (Kavus) rather than tourist stages. If you travel during this season, our driver will help you locate a nearby performance.

For this itinerary, the best airport to fly into and out of is Calicut International Airport (CCJ), also known as Kozhikode Airport. Alternatively, you can also use Kannur International Airport (CNN), and we can adjust the routing slightly to match.
