Welcome to the Maldives! Upon your arrival at Velana International Airport in Male, our local representative will greet you at the arrival hall. You will be guided to the nearby marina to board your scheduled shared speedboat to Maafushi Island. The scenic ride takes about 45 minutes across the beautiful atolls. Upon reaching Maafushi, check into your comfortable boutique hotel/guesthouse. Spend the evening taking a stroll around the island, familiarizing yourself with local cafes, and relaxing at the famous 'Bikini Beach'. Enjoy dinner at your hotel. Overnight stay in Maafushi.
After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an unforgettable, budget-friendly marine adventure! You will board a shared excursion boat for a Half-Day Safari. Maafushi is a local, inhabited island in an Islamic country. Therefore, alcohol is strictly prohibited on the island itself (you can find "floating bars/safari boats" anchored off-shore). Regarding clothing, tourists are required to dress modestly while walking in the village streets. However, there is a designated, barricaded "Bikini Beach" where you can wear standard swimwear freely.
