Yes, Jeep safaris are completely safe and highly exciting for children. You will be seated in an open-top but secure safari vehicle accompanied by an expert driver and a trained naturalist. We simply advise parents to ensure children remain seated and quiet during wildlife sightings.
Chitwan has a very healthy population of Royal Bengal Tigers. While spotting One-Horned Rhinos, Crocodiles, and Deer is almost guaranteed, Tiger sightings rely heavily on luck and patience, as they are elusive and the forest is very dense.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing in neutral/earthy colors (brown, green, khaki) to blend in with the environment. Avoid bright colors like red or neon. Pack comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and insect repellent. A light jacket is recommended for early morning activities.
