Welcome to Nepal! Upon your family's arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu, our official representative will warmly greet you and transfer you to your pre-booked family hotel.
Evening Explorations:
- Thamel Market: After freshening up, step out to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. It’s a great place to soak in the local vibe, shop for souvenirs, and grab some local snacks.
Enjoy your first authentic Nepali or Indian dinner. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full-day guided sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley, visiting some of the most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are easily accessible for all age groups.
Landmarks Covered:
- Pashupatinath Temple: The holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River.
- Boudhanath Stupa: The largest stupa in Nepal, surrounded by vibrant Tibetan culture and monasteries.
- Swayambhunath Stupa: Known as the "Monkey Temple", perched on a hill offering panoramic views of the city. (Kids love watching the monkeys here!)

Check out after breakfast and begin your scenic drive to Pokhara (approx 6-7 hours / 210 km). The route follows beautiful river valleys and lush terraced hills.
En-route Highlight:
- Manakamana Temple (Optional): Stop at Kurintar to take a thrilling cable car ride up the steep hill to visit the Manakamana Temple. The cable car ride is highly exciting for children. (Tickets direct payment).
Arrive in Pokhara, the city of lakes, by late afternoon. Check into your hotel. Spend a relaxing evening walking around the lively Lakeside area. Dinner and overnight stay in Pokhara.
Wake up very early (around 4:30 AM) and drive up to Sarangkot Viewpoint. Watch the magical sunrise turning the peaks of Mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) into brilliant shades of gold.
Day Explorations:
- Phewa Lake & Tal Barahi: Enjoy a peaceful family boat ride on Phewa Lake and visit the Tal Barahi Temple situated on an island.
- Davis Falls (Patale Chhango): Witness this unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep subterranean canal.

Check into your Kathmandu hotel. Spend your last evening doing some final souvenir shopping. Farewell dinner and overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Enjoy your final breakfast in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you can relax at the hotel or take a quick stroll nearby.

For children under 18 without a passport or voter ID, a valid birth certificate (with English translation) and school ID card are usually accepted, but a passport is always the most highly recommended document.
Not at all! We have deliberately paced this tour over 8 days (staying 2 nights in each major location) to avoid daily packing and unpacking. The drives are scenic, and the sightseeing involves minimal strenuous walking, making it perfectly suitable for multi-generational families.
Absolutely! Kathmandu and Pokhara have numerous excellent Indian pure vegetarian and Jain restaurants. The hotels provided in the itinerary also serve extensive vegetarian buffet options suitable for children.
The best time to visit Nepal is during the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons. The weather is pleasant, the skies are clear for mountain viewing, and it's an excellent time for wildlife safaris in Chitwan.
