The adventure continues to the premier ski destination of India, Auli. Your adventure kicks off in Delhi! Our representative will pick you up from the Airport, Railway Station, or your designated location. We drive towards Rishikesh, the global hub for yoga and extreme sports.

Adventure Activities:

  • River Rafting: After breakfast, head to Shivpuri to embark on a thrilling 16km white-water rafting expedition down to Nim Beach. Navigate famous rapids like 'Roller Coaster' and 'Golf Course'. Enjoy cliff jumping and body surfing en route.
  • Bungee Jumping (Optional): Post lunch, drive to Mohan Chatti. Leap off a cantilever platform built over a rocky cliff 83 meters high—the highest in India.

After breakfast, we check out and begin our scenic ascent into the higher Himalayas towards Chopta, a pristine, unspoiled valley known for its lush meadows and trekking trails.

En-route Sights:

  • Devprayag: Stop to witness the spectacular confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, which merge to form the holy river Ganga.
  • Rudraprayag: Another stunning confluence where the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers meet.

Arrive in Chopta by late afternoon and check into your Alpine tents. The temperature drops significantly here. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the bonfire. Overnight stay in Chopta.

Today marks the trekking pinnacle of your tour. After a heavy breakfast, pack your day bags and drive to the starting point of the trek.

Trekking Highlights:

  • Tungnath Temple (12,073 ft): A moderately steep 3.5 km trek through Bugyals (meadows) leads you to the highest Shiva temple in the world. Seek blessings amidst the clouds.
  • Chandrashila Summit (13,000 ft): From Tungnath, embark on a further steep 1.5 km climb to reach the Chandrashila peak. The summit rewards you with a spellbinding 360-degree view of Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.

Descend back to the base camp by late afternoon. Rest your tired legs and share stories of the summit around the campfire. Overnight stay in Chopta.

Post breakfast, we drive towards Joshimath, the gateway to the stunning alpine meadows of Auli.

Highlights of the Day:

  • Joshimath-Auli Ropeway: Upon reaching Joshimath, board the famous 4 km long aerial ropeway. Enjoy the breathtaking, vertigo-inducing views of oak forests and snow peaks below.
  • Auli Meadows: Arrive in Auli and explore the vast meadows. During winters, this transforms into India's premier ski resort. During summers, it's a carpet of green grass overlooking the Nanda Devi peak.

After an early breakfast, we begin our descent back to the plains. This is a long driving day, winding down through the mountains alongside the Alaknanda river.

Evening Sights:

  • Har Ki Pauri: Arrive in Haridwar by late afternoon. Head to Har Ki Pauri to witness the spiritual and visually stunning evening Ganga Aarti, concluding your adventure on a deeply peaceful note.

Check into your hotel in Haridwar and enjoy a quiet dinner. Overnight stay.

Enjoy your final breakfast of the trip. Check out from the hotel and commence the comfortable highway drive back to Delhi. You will be dropped off at the Delhi Airport / Railway Station / your home by afternoon, carrying thrilling memories of your Garhwal adventure.

The trek from Chopta to Tungnath (3.5 km) is considered moderate, featuring a well-paved stone path. However, the final 1.5 km ascent from Tungnath to Chandrashila peak is steep and requires a good level of physical fitness. Our guide will ensure a safe, steady pace.

Yes! The 16km Shivpuri to Nim Beach stretch includes Grade II and III rapids, which are perfect for both beginners and experienced rafters. You will be provided with high-quality life jackets and helmets, and an expert instructor will guide the raft at all times.

If you are specifically looking for a snow-covered landscape and skiing in Auli, the best months are late December to February. However, the Tungnath trek becomes much more difficult due to heavy snow during these months. For lush meadows and clear trekking trails, visit between March to June or September to November.

For Bungee Jumping, the minimum age is usually 12 years with a strict weight requirement (typically between 35kg to 120kg). For river rafting, children under 14 years are generally not permitted on the rapid-heavy stretches for safety reasons.
